Purpose of the application

The application is designed to help users to fast and easy calculate of energy savings at the implementation of certain energy efficiency measures (EE). Following measures are planned:

  • Insulation of the facade
  • Insulation of the unheated basement ceiling
  • Insulation in the unheated attic
  • Floor insulation towards ground
  • Roof insulation in the mansard
  • Replacement of doors and windows

At the end of the application there is are some additional options that enable the user to calculate some additional elements:

  • the energy consumption for heating by using panels and / or heat pumps.
  • calculation of electricity production from photovoltaic panels
  • pay back period calculation


Application is made user-friendly. The calculation of the savings does not require any technical knowledge of computer science, energy or building physics. You only need to know the dimensions of your building.

There are three steps to the final calculation.

  • In the first step you choose a shape, type and dimensions of the house. First choose the suitable shape of the house. You have three options: rectangular shape of the house, L shape of the house and U shape of the house. Then you select the predefined type of the house (single-storey, storey, mansard, house with basement,…) from the drop-down menu. At the end you enter dimensions of the building as shown in the simplified scheme.
  • In the second step you first get the calculated dimension values of your house and required heating energy displayed. Then it is necessary to enter the changes you want to make to your house. Adding insulation, replacing doors and windows.
  • The third step gives you the results for savings measures you have selected. At the end it also gives you the option of calculating the savings by using solar panels and / or a heat pump.

The obtained results can be printed in PDF format.
